Applications
This policy applies to the mobile apps developed by Claudius Thelen that link to this page: Progress, Friendly Reminder, Todaily and Wortschatz. Passages that apply to a single app are marked.

Controller within the meaning of the GDPR is Claudius Thelen. The postal address is in the legal notice.
The apps do not require an account and do not ask for your name, email address, or postal address to use their core features.
What you enter is stored locally on your device and, where technically required, in local app group storage shared with the app’s widget. I do not receive, access, collect, or store this data.
In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through StoreKit. I receive only the purchase and entitlement information needed to unlock Pro and restore purchases — not your payment details.
The free versions show advertising through Google AdMob. Depending on your consent, region, and device settings, Google may process device identifiers, an approximate location derived from your IP address, ad interactions, and diagnostics. Where consent is required, the apps use Google’s User Messaging Platform to obtain and manage it. Pro removes advertising in the respective app.
Friendly ReminderIf you grant the permission, the app uses Apple’s location and region-monitoring services to trigger a reminder when you arrive at or leave a place you saved. Places and reminders stay on your device. I do not receive your location.
WortschatzThe app downloads signed vocabulary packs from assets.claudiusthelen.com. That subdomain is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, which processes ordinary request data — IP address, time of request, requested file, user agent — to deliver the file and keep the server secure. By the provider’s own account these logs are deleted after seven days at the latest, except where an incident such as an attack requires longer retention.
Where you enable them, notifications are scheduled locally on your device. No notification is sent through a server of mine.
Where the GDPR applies, advertising and the identifiers it uses are processed on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). Purchases and unlocking Pro rest on performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b)). The server logs described above rest on the legitimate interest in secure, reliable delivery (Art. 6(1)(f)).
You have the right to request access to personal data concerning you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable form. Where processing rests on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future — for advertising, in the app’s privacy settings.
Because the apps keep their data on your device and I operate no user accounts, in most cases there is no data held by me for these rights to attach to.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The one responsible for me is Der Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
The apps are not directed to children under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
You can change advertising consent in the app where available, and location, notification, and tracking permissions in iOS Settings. Deleting an app removes the data it stored on your device. Subscriptions are managed in your Apple ID settings.
